Sarah Scranton, PT, DPT

Dr. Scranton recently graduated from the University of Connecticut with a doctorate of physical therapy in May 2012. She was class treasurer for her DPT class and helped organize class fundraisers and events. 

During her undergraduate career, Sarah was Captain and Treasurer of the UConn Club Volleyball Team and participated in three national tournaments. She was also an active participant in intramural sports at UConn and was a team captain and all-star of numerous all-campus championship teams. In 2009, she was named Intramural Participant of the Year.

Sarah has taken extra coursework in the field of Parkinsonís disease. She is now certified in the LSVT BIGTM program, a research-based exercise approach developed to improve motor function in individuals with Parkinsonís disease. Benefits of this program include faster walking with bigger steps, improved balance and increased trunk rotation. 

In her free time, Sarah enjoys cooking, playing volleyball and basketball, spending time at the beach, sailing, biking and skiing.
